Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s wife Aaliya has filed for divorce. She has also sent him a notice seeking maintenance and has made some ‘serious allegations’ against him.
Aaliya’s lawyer told Zee News that the notice was sent to Nawazuddin. The notice has been sent claiming maintenance and divorce. I would not like to get into the details of the notice regarding what are the contents and what are the allegations, but let me tell you that the allegations are quite serious and those are very sensitive to Mr Siddiqui as well as his family members,” the lawyer said.
Nawazuddin and Aaliya have been married for 10 years and have two children together. [Source]
Aaliya told news channel ABP in an interview, “I sent divorce notice to Nawaz 15 days back, but people don’t know that we have been living apart since the last 4-5 years. After separation, Nawazuddin mostly used to stay at his office in Yari Road near our house. However, he continued to visit our home and people believed that we live together and are happy with each other.”

Just like other Muslim actors of India, Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui had married a Hindu woman who converted into Islam post marriage, changed her name, and their two children became Muslim by birth. This trend was akin to the 'Love Jihad'.
